Madeline hugged Valerie before stepping aside and letting her in. “You can set your stuff anywhere. I have no clue where my roommate is, so I don’t think she’ll be minding.” She chuckled. Madeline took a seat, grabbing the bowl of popcorn off of the table. Once Valerie asked what movie they were going to watch, she stood back up. “Whoops. I should have put that in…what movie do you wanna watch? I have a huge selection to choose from.” She held up a few DVDs, letting Valerie look. 

Valerie gave Madeline a hug back as she was a bit surprised at her greeting. She wasn’t a hugger but this hug was nice, especially since it was coming from Madeline so she accepted it anyways and brushed it aside. After Madeline got up to sift through the selection of DVDs that piled up on one of the shelves next to the TV, Valerie got up as well to take a look at them. She thought for a bit before deciding. “Hm… I’m really in the mood for a Disney movie!” Valerie smiled, hoping she didn’t sound silly for still having a liking to films directed towards little kids.

madeline-not-maddie:

Madeline, unsure of where her roommate was, decided to invite Valerie over for a movie night. She had brought her huge collection of movies from home, including Toy Story and Sandlot. She straightened up the small living room, wanting it to look nice. She didn’t want to seem like a slob, even though she kinda was. Madeline chuckled and gathered a bunch of blankets. She dropped them on the ground and skipped to the small kitchen, going to prepare the snacks. Once she heard a knock on the door, she stopped what she was doing to let Valerie in. Opening the door, she smiled. “Hey Valerie!” Madeline greeted her.

It was about seven in the evening, after dinner and Valerie had just gotten into a big t-shirt and a pair of shorts, something she considered to be pajamas. Valerie tied her hair up into a bun before grabbing her pillow and heading over to Madeline’s for a movie night they had agreed upon earlier. Valerie skipped along over to her cabin and knocked on the door before being greeted by Madeline in the door way. “Hey, girl!” Valerie smiled before heading on into her cabin, being overwhelmed by all the padding that was laid across the living room floor, set up perfectly for their movie night. She threw her pillow on to the couch and hopped onto it, excited for their slumber party. “So what are we watching?” Valerie asked eagerly, crossing her legs into a pretzel shape.
